TNA MUTE Softkey will be displayed.

• If a Trafﬁc Advisory System (TAS) is conﬁgured, a STANDBY, OPERATE, TEST,

and ALT MODE Softkey will be displayed.

TAS Symbol Description

Non-Threat Trafﬁc

(intruder is beyond 5 nm and greater than 1200’ vertical seperation)

Proximity Advisory (PA)

(intruder is within 5 nm and less than 1200’ vertical seperation)

Trafﬁc Advisory (TA)

(closing rate, distance, and vertical seperation meet TA criteria)

Trafﬁc Advisory Off Scale

Trafﬁc Information Service (TIS)

NOTE: If the G1000 is conﬁgured to use an optional Trafﬁc Advisory System

(TAS), TIS will not be available for use.

NOTE: Trafﬁc Information Service (TIS) is only available when the aircraft is

within the service volume of a TIS capable terminal radar site.
