1)
Press the MENU Key.
2)
Turn the small FMS Knob to select ‘Inhibit Terrain’.
3)
Press the ENT Key.
Enable Terrain
While the Terrain-SVS Page is displayed, select the INHIBIT Softkey.
Or
:
1)
While the Terrain-SVS Page is displayed, press the MENU Key.
2)
Turn the small FMS Knob to select ‘Enable Terrain’.
3)
Press the ENT Key.
NOTE: If Terrain-SVS alerts are inhibited when the Final Approach Fix is the
active waypoint in a GPS SBAS approach, a LOW ALT annunciation may appear
on the PFD next to the altimeter if the current aircraft altitude is at least 164
feet below the prescribed altitude at the Final Approach Fix.
TERRAIN AWARENESS & WARNING SYSTEM (TAWS-B) DISPLAY (IF EQUIPPED)
WARNING: The TAWS-B display shows supplemental information only. It
should not be used for navigation.
NOTE: Terrain data is not displayed when the aircraft latitude is greater than
75 degrees north or 60 degrees south.
NOTE: TAWS-B operation is only available when the system is configured for
a TAWS-B installation.
Manual System Test
1)
While the TAWS-B Page is displayed, press the MENU Key.
2)
Turn the small FMS Knob to select ‘Test TAWS’.
3)
Press the ENT Key. During the test ‘TAWS TEST’ is displayed in the center
of the TAWS-B Page.
When all is in working order, “TAWS System Test, OK” is heard.
